Gone for awhile

I will be on Vacation for one week.

Holy First Amendment Mr. Kerry

Bits Blog pointed me to

Online Human Events

The letter claims the ad is "false" and "libelous" and suggests, in not-so-subtle terms, that TV stations should use their "legal authority" to refuse any requests for advertising airtime

Now at least the way that I understand the first amendment this is protected speech. They are allowed to say anything that they want as political speech! What this really is, is the DNC trying to scare the TV stations into pulling the adds and silence the Kerry critics. Why? Because these critics are not politicians, or talking heads on TV. No, these are people that like Mr. Kerry were in Viet Nam. You did know he was in Viet Nam right? Anyway, these are soldiers that served with or around him. They knew him then and saw what he did how he acted, and most importantly they remember what he did when he got back. Why is that the most important part? Because, ALL the news media seems to have forgotten what he did, and he is not going to tell you himself. The administration is distancing itself from the adds, mostly because they don’t want to be seen on that much of an attack, but I know they are cheering for the adds in the backroom.

I don’t have the ability to add pictures to my blog yet, but I found this picture on Sacred Cow Burgers that you really need to see: Sacred Cow Burgers

Border patrol turns up the heat!

From the Washington Times

Eighty-nine agents have been assaulted so far this year in an escalating series of attacks by the smugglers

Apparently someone decided that the border patrol needed to start cracking down! I think that’s a good idea, but if they are getting fired on then do we need to start thinking about helping them out by supplying them with some soldiers? Right now the slime balls know they can get away with it because the border patrol is not heavily outfitted with fighting weapons or trained in fighting tactics. They are law enforcement not a swat team or a military patrol. I don’t want to see any border patrol agent killed because we did not ether give him the right equipment for his job, or because we did not give him the proper support tools (military assistance). If they are infiltrating our borders by force, then I believe we have a right to resist that infiltration with greater force. This is another fight we just do not want to loose.

Way to go FBI

From Fox News:

Yassin Muhhiddin Aref, 34, the Imam of the mosque, and Mohammed Mosharref Hoosain, the 49-year-old founder of the mosque, were arrested early Thursday morning. They are accused of reaching out to someone they thought was a terrorist trying to get a shoulder-fired missile to down planes in the United States.

FOX News learned from a law enforcement official, however, that that person was not a terrorist, and actually it was all a sting operation. The two men are accused of agreeing to help launder money to pay for the missile.

Normally we don’t see stories that make us cheer for the FBI, but this is different! I knew all along that the current administration was telling the truth when they said that they are currently pursuing terrorists. Now we have some proof that they can show us. Way to go guys. The only downside that I can see is that there is going to be an out cry of entrapment and other crap. I don’t know why people like this can’t be striped of there citizenship and then dealt with appropriately then. . Again glad the feds got the slime balls! Good job!!!

Danger great rant to read!

Kim du Toit directed me to:

Cold Fury

Press: “Mr. Ridge, how do you respond to charges that this security alert is really a scare tactic being used for political purposes by the Bush administration?”

Ridge: “Christ almighty, what is it with you people? You’ve spent a couple of years asking why we didn’t prevent 9/11, calling for an investigation, asking ‘how much did Bush know and when did he know it?’ You blamed us for something we failed to prevent after eight months in office, and yet to this day you give the Clinton admin a free pass, even though he had eight years—eight fucking years, people—to do something about al Qaeda and didn’t do one goddamned thing.

From there It just gets better and better! GO! Read it NOW!

Congress to take more power? LOL

In the Washington Times:

September 11 commission members said yesterday that Congress must use their report to justify taking more power and oversight from the White House as the two branches go about reorganizing domestic security and intelligence.

Now I agree with this recommendation, but the problem is that the members of the congress know that if they take more power in these issues, which they have the right and responsibility to do, they will also inherit the responsibility for what happens. They wont like that, I don't think they will do it ether. There is also the problem of acting in a timely manor to changing conditions. Committees don’t do that well at all.

Now republicans have said they will move quickly on these recommendations, but also don’t want to go to fast, but the (D)umbacrats, following the Johns, want to take what the commission said and run with it now. The problem is that, that is exactly how we got the patriot act. I am not against the patriot act all together, but it does have problems. I believe that most of the problems came from the speed of which it was created not the republicans or dumbacrats.

Kerry’s butt hurts

On Drudge

Points from Unfit for Command:

· Two of John Kerry's three Purple Heart decorations resulted from self-inflicted wounds, not suffered under enemy fire.

· All three of Kerry's Purple Hearts were for minor injuries, not requiring a single hour of hospitalization.

· A "fanny wound" was the highlight of Kerry's much touted "no man left behind" Bronze Star.

What I want to see here is proof that these claims are true. I think it could be true sure, but I want to be honest, so I need proof. Problem is Kerry has not provided his medical records, or military record. You did know he was in Viet Nam right? Good. What I get out of this story though is that there are lots of vets that just don’t want him anywhere near the seat of real power. I have to agree with them on that point, no questions asked!

you also need to check out what Danegerus has to say also!

Cops don’t know what a pot plant looks like

On fox news:

It turns out the tall plants with the narrow leaves arranged in a fan pattern weren't pot plants at all, but specimens of Texas Star hibiscus. Which Davis grows for his landscaping business.

"No apology, no nothing," Davis complained to the Chronicle. "I realize they have a job to do, but this seems a little bizarre."

I think that the Harris County Organized Crime Unit needs a LOT more training. The judge that issued the search warrant needs to make sure that they know what they are looking at also. There is just no excuse for this. I support the police, but they really do need to make sure they know that a crime is being committed. For goodness sake the plants in question were in the front yard. All they had to do was walk up to the house look at them compare them to a picture and then walk away. Read the story it is very funny. Kind of sounds like the Fife Washington polices.

People just want stars to keep quiet

On Fox News

Americans who aren't fans of politics-laced entertainment — the kind served up by the likes of Whoopi Goldberg , Linda Ronstadt and the Dixie Chicks — say they're responding the only way they know how: by boycotting, or threatening to boycott, products of celebs who speak out.

Now the celebs will call this being blackballed. That’s because they haven’t a clue. I know there are many, many, many celebs that share the opinion of the celebs listed above. The difference they like their paycheck and keep there mouth shut! Which is what they need to do. They can have an opinion, I would fight for there right to have an opinion, but that does not mean that I want to hear it, or support it with my money. While they are entitled to have a stupid, uninformed opinion, They need to remember that the first amendment does not protect them from the people on the street. It is only there to protect you from the government. Now lots of people have complained about these people having there rights trampled on, what that means is obviously they failed social studies in high school.

Terror alert changes

I saw this on Yahoo News

More than half a dozen government officials interviewed yesterday, who declined to be identified because classified information is involved, said that most, if not all, of the information about the buildings seized by authorities in a raid in Pakistan last week was about three years old, and possibly older.

Intelligence officials said that the remarkably detailed information about the surveillance -- which included logs of pedestrian traffic and notes on the types of explosives that might work best against each target -- was evaluated in light of general intelligence reports received this summer indicating that al Qaeda hopes to strike a U.S. target before the November presidential elections.

Now it seems that the only story that the major media wants to report on is that most of the intel is 3 years old. Therefore proving that the administration did this just to draw attention itself and hurt their man Kerry. Only two real problems with that. One, there is new intel that goes with the older intel. This new intel connects the survailance to a time frame for attack. Or more likely when you have a time frame for attack, you start looking for where they are going to attack. Now barring any new location information you start looking at older data, once there you find the most likely and bingo your winner by default. Sorry if that was convoluted. Now, two, this info comes from the left slanted media. They quote NO sources by name or station. Just calling them government officials. A government official could be the receptionist for goodness sake. Now I am not saying they did make this up, just that this would not be the first time they gave us a half truth. Sorry I just don’t trust the media that looks me in the face and says “I have no bias at all” and then gives reports that clearly shows how biased it is.

Kerry to save America?

On Fox News

"John and I know that we can build a safer America by reaching out to other countries, bringing people to our side and remembering that never does the United States of America go to war because it wants to, we go to war because we have to," Kerry told supporters at a discount mall in Springfield, Ohio, on Sunday.

So their plan is to reach out to other counties and get them to come to our side so that they will protect poor us? You see we are going to reach out to the great French and germen politicians and ask them if they will commit their world renowned troops to protect us from the bad people. Even when I say it sarcastically it still does not sound more stupid then when John said it. Why is it that the (D)umbacrats idea of protecting the people of America is to rely on other countries, must of which at best just don’t like us. At worst they want us to disappear. And the Johns want us to trust them and “them” for our safety.

Kerry supports defense spending?

Cold Fury

Has some good stuff about something Kerry does NOT want to talk about…. His voting record for the past 20 years. He does not even want to talk about the good things that he voted for. Most likely because it is ether a very short of nonexistent list.
